Orb I - Pat Flanagan Design

Orb I is an interactive sculpture that illuminates under light. Crafted from 40 meters of aluminum rod, each piece is meticulously hand-bent into unique shapes and welded together, forming a sphere. Inspired by the intriguing shadow of a railway spring clip, this piece embodies my fascination, evolving over eight years from my earlier work, Off Center. The viewer is encouraged to spin the sculpture and be captivated by the shadow it casts.
